Description
"Maderas Torresar is a fourth-generation family business founded in 1955 in Orozko (Bizkaia), specialising, among other activities, in thermally modified timber under its Termogenik® brand.
Through a natural and environmentally friendly process ¿ using high temperatures and steam, with no chemical products ¿ we permanently improve three key properties of the wood: durability (greater resistance to fungi and wood-boring insects), dimensional stability (lower equilibrium moisture content and improved performance under changing climatic conditions), and sustainability (wood suitable for outdoor use without any chemical treatment).
The result is a material ideally suited for façades, windows, roofing, decking and garden applications, as well as for indoor uses such as bathrooms and residential spaces.
We use timber sourced from sustainably managed forests certified under the PEFC scheme, and we operate our own drying kilns and thermal modification chambers. We are also ISO 9001 certified."
