BASKEGUR 2020 TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS
“BIOECONOMY” EGURTEK 14-15 OCT 2020
There will be four workshops in total, two each day.
Experts from each field will take part in the workshops, which will consist of short presentations followed by a round-table discussion.
1.- FOREST-BASED CIRCULAR BIOECONOMY STRATEGIES IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY

- REPORT OF THE BASQUE FOREST-BASED CIRCULAR ECONOMY
- CREATION OF THE NETWORK OF BIOREGIONS
2.- BIOECONOMY PROJECTS
We will be able to learn more about the bioeconomy projects that are currently underway in the Basque Country in fields such as sustainable construction, green chemistry and bioenergy, which look for alternatives to petroleum-based products.
3.- CHALLENGES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOECONOMY
The main challenges in the development of bioeconomy projects in areas like construction will be discussed. Some of the issues tackled include existing regulations, product quality certifications, ecodesign, environmental certifications and the competitiveness in different production models.
4.- LIFE – Support EUTR II PROJECT
We will gain knowledge on this project, carried out by LIFE Programme for the Environment and Climate Change, thanks to some of its partners and leaders. The project aims to reduce illegal logging and improve sustainable management of forests all around the world, by means of better compliance, supervision and application of the EUTR by the main stakeholders.
The partners are from six different countries: Spain, Denmark, Germany, Italy, France and the Netherlands.
